The 2022 Floods affected at least 33 million people and displaced at least 7.9 million people. In 2023, many displaced people returned to their places of origin, but they returned to challenging circumstances.

Infrastructural devastation was huge and due to low financial capital the RSSCT decided to make this helpful gesture with the support and help of Bank Alfalah’s Subsidized Loans Provision programme. The RSSCT has evaluated a list of 41 families which needs shelter to secure them from cold and disease. As per estimates, each of the shelter unit/home will cost around PKR, 300,000/-.RSSCT is willing to construct 15 units in the first phase to accommodate 15 families of flood dispersed people. The RSSCT is aiming to continue the gradual construction of units/homes to accomplish its motive. The rebuilding of all 41 units will cost Rs. 12.3 million.
